FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
Yes — analyzing your own trading statement requires a free Bayes Central account. Creating one takes a moment and doesn't require a paid membership.
Is there a cost?
Bayes Central is free to use today — creating an account and analyzing a statement costs nothing, and no card is required. Nothing in the product currently limits how many statements you can analyze. See the Pricing page for the full, plain-language answer.
What statement formats are supported?
MT4 and supported MT5 HTML history exports (.html/.htm). Upload the file directly — no broker login or API connection is used. See the upload guidance on the Analyze page for exact export steps.
Is my uploaded statement kept?
Your original uploaded file is processed for import and is not retained. The trade data extracted from it and your resulting analysis are retained for 90 days and then automatically purged. See the Privacy Policy for detail.
Does Bayes Central connect to my broker account?
No. Bayes Central never connects to a broker account or trading platform directly — you upload a statement file, and that's the only input.
Does Bayes Central give trading signals or recommendations?
No. Every finding describes a historical pattern already present in your uploaded statement. Bayes Central does not generate trading signals, predict future results, or recommend any trade, broker, or course of action.
What's the difference between the Analytics Report and the Trading Passport?
The Analytics Report is your full, private, detailed diagnostic report. The Trading Passport is a concise, selectively-shareable summary built from the same analysis, with independent toggles for exactly what's disclosed — useful for sharing with a prop firm, broker, or anyone you choose.
Can I download a PDF?
Yes — your Analytics Report has a first-party PDF export, available once your analysis is complete.
Where can I see an example before creating an account?
The sample report shows the real output of the analytics engine against a synthetic test statement — no account required.
